The Swift’s exterior underwent a massive makeover. The new Swift is bolder, sleeker and sexier than ever before.
The third generation Suzuki Swift sports a chunky grill, hidden rear door handles and updated tail lights. The floating roof design, solid shoulder lines, and rich side body sculpting give the new Swift a fierce look - this little car means business!
The interior of the car is decked with a modern D-shaped steering wheel, accompanied by an updated instrument cluster and centre console. The cockpit was designed for drivability - with lowered seats that are more supportive than its predecessor, and bolstered sides that were designed for maximum comfort.
The lowered seats have also opened up more head space, giving taller drivers room to breathe. The new Swift boasts a far superior boot capacity, with 268 litres of luggage room and a 60/40 back seat split in case you need to create some additional space. You’ll also find numerous easy-to-use storage compartments in the interior, which are handy for those holiday road trips.

Your safety is our top priority. The new Swift is based on the HEARTECT platform (also found in the Baleno, Ignis and the brand new S-Presso) which is made from tensile steel. The HEARTECT platform is lighter and more rigid than the third generation model, improving the vehicle’s overall safety and NVH performance.
The lighter platform shaved 85kgs off the Swift’s weight - which contributes to its exceptional fuel efficiency (at only 4.9L/100 km) and remarkable performance.
Suzuki’s light, impact-absorbing TECT body has evolved with the use of the new platform and computerised structural analysis. The Swift’s body was cleverly designed to absorb and disperse energy. The impact-absorbing bonnet, front bumper and wiper system protects pedestrians’ heads and legs from injury in the event of a collision.
The new Swift also features updated front and rear suspension, providing more linear steering control for a comfortable ride. With sharpened stability and improved tracking performance, the Swift negotiates turns and curves like a pro, giving you even greater driving pleasure.
It’s bold, unapologetic, and turbocharged. The new Swift Sport will give you the edge you need to jump ahead, if you're ready for it. With all its power and striking looks, you'd better get used to standing out, and stepping up. There's only one way to drive the Swift Sport. You've gotta OWN IT!
“Here are four reasons I’d want to continue living with this bright red little number, and one little niggle that annoyed."
