Join us on an unforgettable adventure through Lesotho’s hidden treasures, where the road less travelled leads to the wonders of nature, culture, and history.
- Day 1: Our journey commences at 09:00 in the picturesque town of Himeville, where we will gather for an exclusive welcome briefing. From there, we embark on an immersive exploration of Lesotho's natural beauty, traversing the awe-inspiring Mkomazana Valley, Sani Pass, and Kotisephola Pass. As we meander through the scenic Sehongnong Valley, we will arrive at the of town
Mokhotlong, where you will unwind in a comfortable, local hotel. With a thoughtfully designed itinerary, we allow ample time to fully appreciate the magnificence of Sani Pass, ensuring a leisurely and enjoyable drive. - Day 2: Prepare to be captivated by a breath-taking drive along the newly developed "highway in the sky" as we journey through the spectacular Senqu Pass en route to the iconic Katse Dam. Along the way, we will pause at the ongoing Polihali Dam construction site, further immersing ourselves in the heart of Lesotho's
dynamic landscape. The day’s highlights include a dramatic descent via the Mafika-Lisiu Pass, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful passes globally. The day concludes with a relaxing overnight stay in our carefully selected accommodation. Our time planning allows for a detailed visit to Katse Dam, ensuring a memorable experience. - Day 3: Today offers a more relaxed pace as we explore the tranquil and lesser-known Metolong Dam. A delightful picnic-style lunch at the famed "Bella-Vista Pass," followed by an enriching exploration of the Maluti Mountains. We will navigate the historic Bushman and God Help Me passes—some of the oldest in Lesotho—before reaching our serene
- mountain retreat for an evening of relaxation.
- Day 4: After a leisurely breakfast, we will venture to Lesotho’s third “Big Dam”—the Mohale Dam. Here, we will indulge in a traditional “wors braai” at Senqunyane Pass, with ample time for photography enthusiasts to capture the stunning vistas. In the late afternoon, we return to our hotel for an authentic Lesotho dining experience, ensuring your stay is as memorable as the journey itself.
- Day 5: Following an early breakfast, prepare for a truly unique experience. After replenishing supplies in Roma, we head toward the magnificent Maletsunyane Falls, Africa’s tallest free-fall waterfall, plunging an impressive 192 meters. Along the way, we will traverse six additional mountain passes, offering chances to spot the elusive Bearded Vulture.
We will then settle into our accommodation in Semonkong for a restful overnight stay. - Day 6: After a satisfying breakfast, we begin our return journey, with plans to reach the Peka Bridge Border Post by 15:00. Our route
through the scenic Thaba Bosiu offers a final opportunity to enjoy Lesotho’s stunning landscapes and History. Though the tour concludes here, we highly recommend extending your stay in the nearby Fouriesburg or Clarens area for an
extra night of exploration. Should you wish to explore further or prefer an alternative exit at Qachas Nek or Tele Bridge, we are more than happy to assist with route planning and recommendations, ensuring you make the most of your adventure.
